Original two-story houses here often hide the longest run on the back or along a side porch. We scoop every section we can reach safely, clear valleys that dump into the trough, and bag the leaves, seed pods, and grit. Damp mats on a north or river-facing eave are the ones that overflow first, even when the front looks empty. Blowing that mat into the bed is not a cleaning.

Flush and flow test

Every downspout we can reach gets flushed, then we run water through the gutter. Standing water means a sag or a clog we still need to find. We will point out loose spikes, seams, or hangers. Fixing them is a repair, and we do not do gutter repair.

Missed debris or a downspout we flushed that is still blocked within 2 weeks is a return trip. A new storm is not.
